Andrea Jones

Andrea is a seasoned leader who believes passionately in the intersections of inclusivity, values-based leadership and results. She knows that empowered, diverse and equitable groups create great change in the world and as a leader in the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors brings those core beliefs to her work, whether that is in grantmaking, community building, program design or leading teams and organizations. In her most recent position, Andrea served as the Senior Director of Bay Area Giving for the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, helping to develop strategic and place-based portfolios across the region, resulting in more than $50 million dollars in philanthropic funding distributed over four years. Prior to her role at CZI, she led a large scale, collective impact initiative for Silicon Valley Community Foundation and spent more than fifteen years building programs and organizations on the ground, largely in the field of youth development and education. She is a strong leader in empowering cause-driven teams, creating transparency as a grantmaker and moving philanthropic organizations toward equity and community-driven solutions.
