Bruce is a respected leader who has committed to nonprofit leadership after gaining deep and relevant experience with the Air Force. His experience includes 12 years of foreign service, including contributions to the United States Army (civilian) and the United States Air Force (military). In this capacity, his work focused on human resources, program management, event coordination, and regular engagement with government officials and departments.
Bruce's nonprofit experience includes serving as the President and CEO of the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce. Prior to this role, he led Leadership Mountain View and Government Affairs before being appointed as the chief executive. Before joining the chamber he served as the Ambassador Strategic Outreach Coordinator and Director of Strategic Initiatives for the 63d Regional Support Command in Mountain View. In this capacity, Bruce orchestrated large-scale ambassador programs across a seven-state region, fostering external relationships with media, community relations offices, and public affairs officers to enhance the reputation and awareness of the Army Reserve.
Bruce continues his dedication to serving the social sector through active roles on multiple nonprofit boards. He is the Board President of the Community Services Agency of Mountain View, as well as a board member of the Community School of Music and Arts, serving on the Advancement, Executive, and Governance committees.
Bruce holds a Master of Arts in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, a Bachelor of Business degree, an undergraduate Project Management Certificate, and a graduate certificate in Conflict Management and Coaching, all from Golden Gate University. Additionally, he possesses a degree in human resources from the Community College of the Air Force.
Originally hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Bruce is not only a dedicated professional but also a proud dog dad to two adorable companions: Malakai, a 70-pound Pit Bull rescue, and Milo, a French Bulldog who has quickly assumed the role of pack leader!
