Krismin Inocentes Bell was born in the Philippines and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. With an unyielding commitment to the transformational power of education, Krismin has spent the past 15 years advancing educational equity.
Starting as a third-grade teacher in Brooklyn, NY, Krismin expanded her impact by ensuring more students had access to college advising and postsecondary success preparation. She served as a mentor and coordinator on the high school program and college success teams at Summer Search, a national youth development organization.
Motivated to effect broader change, Krismin honed her organizational and systems-level leadership by serving as the East Bay Area Regional Manager and later as Deputy Director for Destination College Advising Corps in UC Berkeley’s Division of Equity and Inclusion. Under her leadership, over 60,000 students and 2,500 families received high quality college advising services annually.
As the Founding Managing Director of Program at OneGoal in the Bay Area, Krismin led the region through its first full program cycle, achieving a 74% enrollment rate for the class of 2020, surpassing regional averages even amidst a global pandemic. She later served as the region’s Executive Director, spearheading significant growth and impact, including securing $5M over three years and expanding the regional footprint from 290 to 800 students in five years.
Krismin received her B.A. in Political Science from UC Berkeley and a Master of Science in Teaching from Pace University. She resides with her family in the Pacific Northwest.
