Lara Fulmer

With over 20 years of leadership experience across nonprofit, corporate, and startup settings, Lara has dedicated her career to advancing community development, economic mobility, and social impact. She brings a cross-sector perspective that integrates business principles with social responsibility, helping organizations strengthen systems, expand partnerships, and deliver measurable outcomes.

Lara’s experience spans fund development, operations, and community engagement in housing, workforce development, food security, and addiction recovery. At CityTeam, she rose through four promotions in five years to lead the Engagement & Development Department, where she restructured the team, implemented data-driven systems, and secured record-breaking gifts that expanded services and deepened community connections. Most recently, she served as Chief Strategy & Growth Officer for a start-up social enterprise, designing operational frameworks, building partnerships, and launching pilot programs that support vulnerable populations.

Lara earned her MBA from the University of Illinois and a BA in Political Science from the University of California, Davis. She is passionate about equipping leaders and boards with the clarity, tools, and systems they need to thrive and create lasting community impact.
