Norma Zahory

Norma Zahory has over 10 years of experience in the private, public, and non-profit sector. Prior to joining VLC, Norma served as the Network Operations Manager at Education Leaders of Color, a professional membership organization for people of color in education and education-adjacent sectors. Norma also served as the Specialist supporting development operations and stakeholder engagement for the Individual Giving team at Communities In Schools (CIS).

Norma’s passion for equity and culture led her to join the CIS’ Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Design Team and Planning Team where she played an instrumental role in designing, planning and implementation phases of the imperative. Working directly with the network of 133 affiliates, she helped to implement a national strategy on how to infuse the mission with a deeper commitment to ensuring equitable outcomes for all students, and linking academic success to results beyond the classroom.
